Radio Frequency dryers for fibres and yarns

Strayfield has remained the innovator and world leader of Radio Frequency drying systems since the company introduced this technology to the textile industry more than 30 years ago.

Today Strayfield has many hundreds of systems installed all around the world, drying everything from bump tops to the very latest in technical packages.

Maximum efficiency

Today's yarns are being wound more densely and are becoming more thermally-sensitive. This makes it necessary for Strayfield to ensure that its equipment can operate at maximum efficiency and still dry these yarns at low temperatures.(80degC in the case of cotton). All its systems are especially tuned to achieve this.

As winding technology advances and fibres become more thermally sensitive, so must Strayfield advance in order to process them. The 'second generation' Strayfield systems incorporate RF with 'intelligent vacuum' to ensure very low drying temperatures (approximately 65degC) and with smaller generators.

Meets all regulations

All Strayfield equipment is now extremely competitive – even with the lower-specified equipment coming from China – and without detriment to the company's usual high standards. Every system is guaranteed to meet the prevailing regulations concerning radio frequency interference and health and safety at work.
